Work Area 3 - Wireless Access

The objectives are to

• Develop and generalise understanding of new radio environments

• Invent and develop new technologies and techniques to support flexible wireless access

• Link new technologies and techniques to physical radio environments to create autonomous, high-capacity, wireless bearer architectures

The areas of work include

• Efficient evaluation criteria for and use of spectral efficiency

• Intelligent and co-operative capacity enhancement

• Self planning and dynamic reconfiguration

• Advanced flexible radio architectures

• Evaluation of new radio environments

• Resource metric estimation
