| Abstract | This paper provides a full mathematical and simulation-based analysis of a novel cost-driven aggregation policy, and compares its performance, using the same framework, to that of other policies. Our results show that our proposed cost-driven policy can reduce operator costs due to signalling by at least 25% compared with other policies, whilst at the same time not disadvantaging the user with long waiting times to establish a session. |
