| Abstract | This paper provides an overview of the profile management and representation mechanisms currently in use and proposes future mechanisms based on the new ontology language; OWL. Further the design of an interaction framework, called the Dispatcher, to integrate the various entities of the personal distributed environment (PDE) and the Adaptation framework based on agent-technology is proposed. The paper discusses the reasons for use of agents and describes a typical interaction protocol than can be effected using the designed Dispatcher. Future work in this area to realise a functional Dispatcher is given in the conclusion |
